I keep being dragged off to the ivillage page, but then shown a screen saying that the page requested on ivillage doesn't exist. I just have to keep trying till I don't get dragged there. I think it is related to just some of the 'sidebar' adverts.

I'm using a mozilla browser which seems to help eliminate the popups from taking over. You can download it from tucows.com or any similar site.

RE: Hijacked

If you download the yahoo tool bar, it has a pop up stopper.
If you download the msn toolbar (I got mine when I updated messenger) it has a pop up stopper too. Once you have downloaded them, you don't have to have them all the time...just right click on a bare bit of the tool bar or the top of your browser, and check or uncheck them.

Don't forget to frequently delete (not disable)cookies and delete your temp internet files as these can harbour spyware. If you don't know how to do this, please ask- it's easy.
