Taddies!

I found tiny taddies in my binliner on 6th. March.

The pond frogspawn consists of groups of tiny guys waiting to burst out from the borders, or whatever it is they do. It looks strange seeing the mass of clear jelly stuff without the occupants. I thought they were supposed to eat this! I guess they gather together because it's safety in numbers. Oh dear, I wonder how many 'jaws' are waiting in the depths to gobble them up!!

RE: Taddies!

Mine haven't hatched yet and although most was spawned a couple of weeks ago today we noticed several new clumps. Most of the older stuff is now dissolving so the taddies must be ready to 'get away' We have done very well with 52 frogs and now over 30 clumps of spawn.
If you want to see my frogs there is a small video clip on my website. Please click on the link below if you want to see and hear them.
