| We are having a pond started next week, and I am just wondering how long to leave the pond to settle before adding some fish?
Thanks |

| I started putting plants in mine after a couple of days. I think you are meant to wait several weeks before a trial fish or two. Personally I would wait till you have it well stocked with plants....but proper fish keepers here will advise you. What sort of fish are you going for? Are you having it as a "natural"/ wildife pond or will you have filters and waterfalls and fountains? |

| they say a new pond should be left for 3 weeks before adding fish, if a filter and pump are used then same time, that gives it time to gas off the chlorine and life to start forming in the water and the filter to begin too, but if you use a declorenator fish can go in the next dayproviding you have some palnts in it. |
