A sign of life in the new pond

| At last, things are starting to bloom... no sign of the water lilies though.
I know this is a really common pond plant, but I can't remember the name (please advise). Its planted on one of the shallow ledges:
As I was taking garden shots, a yacht passed by... low tide (looks odd eh?)!

| Thats odd I would have thought being South of me your plants would be ahead of mine I suppose being east has a 'latening' effect. Marsh marigold, Iris and yacht mast I see. |

| When did yours start flowering Sean? Although its been warm over the past couple of weeks, I'm in quite an exposed location. |

| my marsh marigold has had flowers on it for at least 6 weeks now. the only time it hadnt flowered was about 6 weeks during the winter which really surprised me!!! |

My marsh marigold hasn't flowered yet. It is just getting it's buds now. The first of the iris leaves are just breaking the surface. Alison |
