Can anybody help me please - I have given my pond water a 30% change to alleviate the cloudy water - but now after this water change and a treatment to make sure it is ok - my water is still cloudy - any help would be appreciated

Fish rummaging in the muck on the bottom perhaps. That is generally the case with me when I dont have the filter running but I have never done a water change unless I have done something stupid like drop cement in the pond.

There could be many, many reasons why the water is cloudy. Doing a partial water change won't help much, if at all.
Remind us what sort of pond you have.
Is it a wildlife/ornamental/or fish pond? If you have fish how many? What size is the pond?
How many plants, what sort. Do you have a pump? Do you have a filter? etc. etc.
Oxygenators, algea (around the sides) plants and even blanketweed help to keep the water clear.
Without the help of external biofilters a pond takes a few years to mature and find a balance and changing the water/treating with chemicals for green water etc., will only increase the time this takes.
I used to get occasional cloudy water in my old wildlife pond (no pump or filter) but it was usually due to fish digging in the sediment at the bottom (as Sean says) or frogs spawning.
Left alone it eventually cleared.

I wouldnt worry to much, as Sue says there could be many reasons for it, but most of them are naturaly occuring at this time of the year, once the season gets underway it will sort itself, adding fresh water dosent help because the fresh water has to go through the process anyway, so just be patient, mine is cloudy at the moment and i know theres nothing wrong, just filter hasent kicked in from the mild weather and fish feeding.

Hi Trinity bell, I would add lots of oxygenting plats as it doesn't sound as if you have any. These will help use up any excess nutrients and will make it a far nicer pond to look at and for wildlife.
My pond is certainly less clear now since the frogs theen the frogspawn arrived. Partially due to the frogs churning everything up and partly due to the uneaten protien left from the spawn.

You may even find that about 3 weeks after the new water things look worse as green algae uses to nutrients in the new tap water.
