Getting there - hurrah!

Thank you all for your wise words of advice - at last my new pond is looking like it's going to be fine.

OK so the water is still murky green-brown but the watercress has taken, the flowering rushes are starting to poke through the surface, I have finally covered the last of the liner (one roll of turf £1.97, bargain!) and the tadpoles ate a slug yesterday!!

I am a very happy ponder (oh yes and I discovered my wellies are definitely waterproof - always good to know...)

Glad things are coming along fine. I envy all those that have frogs / spawn... no sign of them in my pond! Any chance of a pond picture (I'm always happy to nick the ideas of others!).

Great news--your critters have landed on their feet (flippers?) with their first class accommodation!

Here's a picture I took today. The light wasn't very good - it usually looks better than this! All the brown scum is empty frogspawn egg cases - nice. The tadpoles were swarming in the shallows today. I was a bit evil and fed them a slug which they devoured in a pirhana like fashion!!

Here is a link that might be useful: My pond
