bubble patches on top of pond

can anyone tell me what are the bubble like patches I keep seeing on top of my wild life pond quite a healthy pond have frogs and newts and loads of tadpoles at the moment . the patces look a bit like froth but do not seem to cause any harm

Are the patches still there? They may have been breaking down frogspawn after he tadpoles had hatche4d.
