Hozelock Bioforce 2200.. complete?

Hi,

I bought a Hozelock Ecoclear 2200 system via mail order and started assembling it today.

I thought I put it together correctly but when I turned it on the pressure filter leaked horribly. I think this is due to missing parts but would appreciate if someone could confirm or deny this.

The unit has a top and a bottom. The top has the white UV lamp housed in a glass tube and that in turn surounded by a white plastic sleeve. the bottom is a plastic pot with seven clamps that click onto the top.

The contents of the bottom pot are two bits of sponge... one dark green and the other light green.

Am I missing something?

Where the top and bottom go together seems to be just plastic against plastic? Should there be a seal of some kind? I don't have one.

Also.. I have just the two sponges. Should there be a plastic element that goes inside the pot? There seems to be one on the instruction leaflet but I'm not sure if it applies to the 2200 model.

Stupidly I bought this mail-order so taking it back is going to be a challenge

TIA

GFP
