I have heard of people using tarpaulin as a cheap liner. Have any of you guys tried it?

Would something like this be ok

I've seen on the USA board that some use tarpaulin. I wonder if it would be flexible enough to deal with.
We have a greay groundsheet, and it is made of thick light grey pvc or rubber. I think this would work, but don't know if it's the same as yours.

My first pond was made with one of those, they work well enough if they are not exposed to direct sunlight, with mine the parts in sunlight rotted with in a year or two, but the shaded and under the water line parts were fine, should get about 10 years form one.

hi
all.
tapaulin is ok for a wildlife pond but i wouldn't use this for fish due to when it ages it will give of chemicals which will be hardful to your fish.
