Itty bitty lilies

| Help! I have 3 lilies in the pond. One is about 3 years old and sunk 3 feet deep and is sending up leaves slowly but surely. Another one I bought last year is in about 18 inches of water and has two little leaves that have not grown at all for about a month. Another one I bought this year (a B&Q special), also in about 18 inches of water, sent up loads of little leaves, and they have remained the same size for about a month. On both of these lilies the stems are still no bigger than 3 inches.
Is this normal? What do lilies need? Any ideas greatly appreciated! |

I bought some B&Q's this year too, albidia and firecrest and so far none have done much, some of last year's B&Q's, chromatella and fire crest, in the fish pond havent done much either and one of the chromatellas got crown rot. The fishpond is cold so last week I moved them to the warmer plantpond which is when I found the crown rot. So, I wouldnt worry just yet, the new lily should be shallow though. |

| Mine are small pads this year too, normaly 4" but havent got bigger than 2.5" yet, but it all of them and not just odd ones, so my guess is the weather had some effect, early spring warmth then cold and frost again, started them off a bit earlier then stunted them, must be somehting like that. |

| Thanks everyone, hopefully things will improve when the weather warms up properly. |
