Missing Fish.

| Have had a pond for about 10 years. only small but natural with a waterfall and covered with lillies; I thought the fish , about 12, had been hiding for the last week....Thet have all gone with no evidence! |

| Heron most likely, they will visit till theres none left, and leave no sign they was ever there. but, its also possible your fish are hiding, they do that well enough, even in clear water! |

| I live less than five minutes from a local park where the council keep stocking the large water garden with goldfish and the resident heron keeps stocking his belly with said fish! In five minutes of watching, I saw him gobble down two large goldfish. They didn't touch the sides and I had images of them wriggling round inside him before his digestive juices got to work! There's absolutely no weeds for cover and I was about to contact the council to tell them what's going on but, selfishly, decided I preferred things as they are! At least this way he appears to have take-aways on tap, so, hopefully, he won't have to travel further afield to get his grub. Big Kid |
