Koi, Orfe, Goldfish Together

As I enlarged my pond to just under 2000 gallons(4ft deep at its deepest) this year I have decided to introduce some koi. Actually over the last month I have bought 5 at different times. Biggest is a Chagoi at about 10 inches. Does anyone keep all types together and what extra problems should I watch out for. The orfe are about a foot long and there are 5 of them, the goldfish and shubunkins are numerous but range from 2" to 8". I did give over 40 yearlings away but they just continue to multiply.
Thanks

There's no problem keeping them all together but adding 5 koi might have an effect on your water quality. You need to make sure the biofilter is big enough as koi produce a lot of waste and grow quickly. Also you probably will buy them some high protein food to make them grow big and look good, which means you need good filtration again.

Other than that enjoy the koi, the chagoi will soon get massive if you feed them good food.

Make sure you have plenty of oxygen going into the pond, orf need high ammounts and are the first to die in a heat wave, and the koi will suffer greatly.

Thanks for replies. My orfe were bought 3 years ago at 1" long so it shows you how fast they grow as well as koi. I think that I have enough oxygen although I have plans to change my filtration and pump system. At present my water is clear and all readings are good. Also no sign of blanketweed this year which seems strange. I am surprised any other fish get any food with the greediness of the orfe.
