New Fish Dying

I've added about 4 new fish to my pond this year and all have died. The pond is about 3 ft deep and about 30 ft2.

There are about 7 fish (Ghost Koi, Goldfish, Comets) who've been in there a couple of years with no problems.

The water is pumped through a UV filter and the water quality looks pretty good - any ideas what could be killing them ?

I suppose I need to get the water tested but is there anything else worth checking ?

TIA,
Mike.

RE: New Fish Dying

Did you keep them in quarantine in another pond or container before you introduced them to check for disease?

What sort were the new fish and where were they from? Were there any in the tank where you bought them that looked unhealthy?

How long before they died? What sort and how big were they?

RE: New Fish Dying

If I introduce new fish into the pond I always put a treatment in. It is usually a five day thing with protection against fungus and parasites etc, just to be on the safe side. Sorry to hear you have lost the fish. It is quite upsetting.
