Common Carp and rudd in Pond?

| Hi Peeps,
Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I have been viewing posts to keep up to date.
Some of you may remember my post with my skippy type filter and temporary fish houing setup for me to use during my house move. We moved back in October and the fish are still in the same setup, however I now have a larger, loft water tank setup with the skippy and a black dustbin with a 2nd filter setup.
The pond in in progress, I have photos and will pont when I get time.
Now, a very kind person has given me a load of plants and fish. The fish are:
1 5" Golden orfe
2 6" common carp
1 4" common carp
1 tiny 2" common carp
2 5" rudd
1 4" rudd
What I need to know is, will these common carp and rudd be ok in a post containing my current goldfish/ shubukins?
These fish are lovely, especially the rud, a coppery coloured belly and darker top bit (nice technical; lingo there!)
Thanks,
Daniel |

| OOPS! Forgot to add, the new pond will be 2m x 1.5m x 1m deep. Will have a volume of 3000L, and use a 3000L/h pump and large skippy setup to filter it, along with a venturi, fountain and aeration station at the bottom of the pond, all sides will be bowled to increase water flow and to decrease sediment build up. Thanks, Daniel |

| carp and rudd mix with no problems, but you might have probs with the carp when they get bigger, your pond is small for carp. |

| Hi, Cheers, if the carp get too big I have a large net and a local pool close by, if they get too big I will take them to that pond. Thanks, Daniel |

| Daniel- NEVER EVER put fish from your pond into wild ponds (or anyone else's pond without permission will you? They can introduce disease, and ornamental fish can ruin a wildife/ wild/ natural pond. Also some ponds are managed to be fish free and this is ruined if someone adds fish. I'm sure you don't plan to do any of the above, so please don't take the advice wrongly....It's just that I know of ponds where this has happened. |

| Hi, Nope, I will contact the correct authority and request their permission. Failing this I have a friend with a pond who says he will take them if they get too big. Thanks, Daniel |
