I recently added 3 small ghost koi to my pond, which currently has 12 small goldfish, the goldfish have chased and barged the Koi constantly, and have left one dead. I was assured by the shop keeper that the two would get along, is this normal?

I had a similar problem, although my ghost koi were biggish size but after a while they've all calmed down, I don't know why goldfish would do this but I know I was worried as well. If you want better advice I would go to the US Gardenweb site as there seems to be a lot more users there and a lot of the pond problems aren't country specific. They are all really friendly as well.
