Plant inspiration please

Hiya,

Can any of you recommend some good pond plants for summer colour?

All my plants either flowered in spring or are flowering now and I'd like to add something that will flower during summer and autumn.

Cheers,

Paula

My spearwort flowers at the same time as my marsh marigold (in may) and is finished for summer. My arum lily has also finished flowering but it was the first time so as it gets bigger each year maybe it will last throughout the summer. My water lilies are just getting their first buds so they are good for the summer and like Sean says, good colour on the pads. I have purple loosestrife which is just getting its stems coming up out of the water, eventually it will be a good few feet out of the water and has wonderful purple flowers by late summer early autumn.
On the surface of the pond a good plant is the primrose willow. By september it is full of beautiful primrose yellow flowers. Well worth having, it also has small dark leaves on long runners so gives a nice contrast. You can see both these flowers if you take a look on my website. www.the-horsfalls.co.uk and if you can't get hold of any I can give you a cutting.
