RE: disapearing fish

That is really awfull. Is there somewhere they can all hide as sometimes when they have been scared by a preditor they can hide at the bottom of the pond in amongst the plants and you would swear they had gone when in a few days they suddenly appear again. I hope that this is the case for you that they are hiding. Maybe a heron came down and found it couldn't get in but by then had scared the fish enough.
Another terrible possibility is that someone of the human species has been and helped themselves to your fish. Which I hope is not the case but a frighteningly possiblility as some people just do not have any morals at all. A neighbour of my mums had someone come and take all her largest Koi out of the pond overnight.
Anyway that is the worst senario so lets hope that it is the first possiblility and that in a couple of days time they will surface again. I have a silver ghost Koi which I have only ever seen twice in the 4 years that it has been in the pond and 3 tench which I never see, but they are still in there they just hide all the time. Only on the brightest of all the summer days do I get a glimpse of them but never the silver ghost which has turned all black now instead of silver and black.
Anyway good luck. I am sure they will be there, you just need a little patience and wait a couple of days.
