Fibreglassing a wooden QT tank

Posted by aaron118 England (My Page) on

I’m going to build a 6 x 3 x 3 foot QT tank with a strong wooden frame. I recon fibreglassing the inside is the best way to go about it. I think we might as well tackle this ourselves. Does anyone know of any fibreglassing guides and what steps I should take to fibreglass on to a wooden frame.

For a small tank like this could I get away with just a single layer of matting. Also how many kilo's of resin would I need for a tank that size?

Thanks

RE: Fibreglassing a wooden QT tank

When I did some glassfibre work around my pond I found CYB to be very helpful.

Here is a link that might be useful: CYB Glassfibre
