Tanalised timbre+fishpond. problem?

Posted by Scarlettt Britain (My Page) on

Hi, I dont know if anyone remembers me, I havn't been on here in a while.
I'm planning a small fish pond, roughly 6'x6'x2' which will be surrounded by tanalised wood decking. I was wondering if there could be a problem with rain/water runoff from the wood being harmfull to fish or plants.

any help on this would be great,
thanks
Scarlett

Hi Scarlett,
Is this pond actually going to be up near your house at long last ?? I guess you proved yourself with your mum and she has given in. How is your wildlife pond doing? Kazzie has just had a pond done with timber sleepers but hers is a raised pond. Is yours going to be surrounded by the timber decking.? If you don't catch her on here she may be on www.the-horsfalls.co.uk/forum , post the question there and I am sure she will be able to help you as she must have thought about runoff.
Alison
