Pond five years old, no filter, never cleaned. What next?

I built my pond which is about two yards wide by ten yards long and about one and a half yards deep five years ago and now when I use a net to clear away the pond weed I bring up all sorts of mucky stuff.
My inclination is to empty the pond with a pump placing the goldfish into a barrel and then clear all the mucky stuff out refilling and bunging the goldfish back in but I recognise that will destroy the eco system that has built up.
So, what suggestions do you offer?

Do you get lots of wildlife as well as the fish? Frogs, toads, newts, dragonflies,etc etc?
If you do, I would proceed with caution, and defintely don't go for a full clean out.
Personally I would just continue with the removal of excess weed, skimming off dead leaves, and leave the inhabitants alone as far as possible.
Do you feed the fish, or are they self sufficient?

I wonder how it looks like now.
If the fish are happy there, I wouldn't do anything that would harm the eco-balance. People struggle a lot to get it and sometimes never do.
Emptying the pond will mean to start all the process from the beginning.
I have a pond since 4 years and because of 1 VERY serious mistake, which is letting grass carp inside, I had serious problems with eko-balance.
It is getting better.

If I would be in your shoes, I would just clear the weed glones, maybe add some nice plants - to have a change.
