| this is probably a dumb question, but... my mum inherited 3 fry from me via a plant transfer & she has fed them & they were doing really well for a while. But, she hasn't seen them for a month. What will eat baby fry? She has no adults in her pond, these were the first fish. She has several frogs visiting. Do they eat fry? Sorry if this sounds like a really thick question, but we're both new to this.
Cheers,

| The die off for fry is extremely high, so its possible they are dead from natural causes, they might have died because of the change in water conditions, on the the other hand they might all be safe and sound and you wont see them again for ages, its a wait and see case with all fry. |

"what will eat fry"? Water boat men will eat real tiddlers, I have seen them. Great diving beetles and their larvae, the nymphes of dragonflies and damsels, I have seen the latter stalking fry, adult fish. |

hi paula. there's no silly questions on here as we r all here to help each other. my bet is on magpies or cats. and all of the above. fish spawn many as many do not live, the way of the wild. ----------David-----------fishmaduk------------------ |
