I'm extremely busy at the moment so don't have much time to visit this site but would like to to wish all forum members and 'lurkers' a Very Merry Christmas!
Hope Santa brings you everything you desire.

| Hi Everyone, When I was in England a couple of weeks ago everyone was moaning about Christmas. But I now live in a country where there is no celebration of Christmas, I say to you all, you don't know how much you would miss it if you didn't have it! Imagine no tree, no lights, no decorations, no turkey, no crackers, and yes, no carols, no family reunions (good or bad?)and certainly no presents! That's why I bought myself a Christmas pudding, some Crackers and a couple of paper hats in the duty free, I will enjoy my own little Christmas here in Israel and hope all you ponders who are so willing to help when anyone has a problem, you provide the spirit of Christmas the whole year round, So happy Christmas and a great ponding new year Peter. |

| "and looking forward to life in the pond re-emerging in the New Year!" Life in my pond is very much visible! Fish very active, watercress growing apace, as are the oxygenating plants. Merry Christmas everyone from a newbie! Tricia |

I'm with you there Tricia.....and I live in the 'cold' Derbyshire hills! Fish active, some lily leaves, Marsh Marigold still in bloom, Watercress 1ft high at top of waterfall, roses and other plants still in flower in the garden and saw Ladybirds last week! Weird! Shouldn't really post this.....as everytime I talk about the weather it usually makes a dramatic change. Doesn't seem like Christmas. Sue |

Merry christmas to you all. At long last I am nearly fully recovered from my broken foot and prolapsed discs so can manage to get into the garden to look at the pond. All the fish seem healthy and happy. I was at a German market in the centre of Leeds today and managed to buy a lovely hand carved wooden frog with a little wooden stick. When you stroke the stick over the back of the frog it makes the sound of frogs croaking so when I get lonely for my frogs I am going to get someone to play my frog for me. (it sounds better from a short distance or I would play it myself) Anyway have a lovely christmas everyone. Alison |

Knew I shouldn't have posted about the mild weather. Ice on the ponds today and it's snowing! Hissy/I'll try to follow your advice but went to a party last Saturday, one tonight, another tomorrow, one Christmas Eve and yet another Boxing night! hic! |
